The deceased persons, whose particulars are yet to be established, were hacked to death in Buswekera cell in the Hoima East division, in the wee hours of Sunday. Their bodies were dumped along the Hoima-Fortportal Road where they were later found by residents.
The incident occurred at around 2 am Wednesday morning in Nyarugabu cell in Kiduuma ward in Hoima City West Division. The suspected thugs, who were five in number, reportedly raided Nyarugabu cell in Hoima city in an attempt to steal cattle.
The mob descended on Katumba when he led a team of officers to rescue a suspected motorcycle robber in Kiganda cell in Kahoora division around 11:00pm.
