Members who attended the meeting that ended close to 8;30 pm, told URN that although there were proposals that the members spend the night at State House, Entebbe to finalize the matter, many suggested that the meeting be moved to 8 am on Sunday so that both the candidates for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker can be agreed upon.
In their ruling read by Justice Stellah Arach Amoko, the Justices encouraged Kyagulanyi through his lawyers to bring evidence during the hearing supporting the said issues, which are already in the original petition.
While responding to Kyagulanyi’s application to amend his petition, Joseph Matsiko who led a team of four lawyers representing the Electoral Commission asked court not to allow the Amendment on grounds that the law provides for such amendments when the applicant doesn’t seek to introduce new grounds.
