Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson told Uganda Radio Network on Friday that the four suspected Congolese militiamen all armed with guns struck at around 1AM and put the Ugandan fishermen at gunpoint before ordering them to surrender to them the two boat engines.

14 Arrested For Ploting to Attack Security Installations in Bundibugyo Attacks

The suspects were picked up from a shrine on Saturday evening. They were reportedly found in possession of 70 machetes, 40 knives and a map of the proposed Yiira Republic among other items. The suspects are currently locked up at Kanyamwirima army barracks in Bundibugyo district.

UPDF to Deploy on Lake Albert to Avert Attacks on Fishermen President 2 1

Museveni says he has well-trained dedicated and modernized security personnel that are supposed to protect Ugandans on the lake should any attacks happen to them anymore. He says soon he is going to deploy operatives with vast skills of protecting Ugandans while on the lake to prevent any possible attacks.
