In an interview with Uganda Radio Network, Dr. Achilles Brunnel Byaruhanga, a Herpetologist and Principal Investigator with Nature Uganda, expressed his concern about the lack of data in the North. He explains that the absence of proper studies and conservation efforts puts these amphibian and reptilian species at risk of extinction.

The AG’s report of 2018 indicates that the University failed to fully implement planned activities like; drawing a master plan and business plan for the seven pieces of land. Other key findings indicate failure to rehabilitate the Dean of students Block, Academic Registrar’s Block and Planning Block.
The 17-member committee composed of academic and technical staff is expected to commence work on Monday 20th May 2019, following their inauguration this week at State House Nakasero.
