WFP supports 1.2 million refugees in Uganda with food and monetary aid. But the available food in its stores can only last until May, 2020 while the money they give to refugees is expected to be depleted at the end of February, 2020. Up to USD 16 million Shillings is needed to save the situation.

Japanese Dancer Inspires Refugees with Lessons from Hiroshima Bombing Government of Japan 2 1

The performer drew inspirations from his country’s horrific experience of World War II when the United States detonated two nuclear weapons, 600 meters above Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities on 6 and 9 August 1945, respectively. The explosions wiped out 90 per cent of the cities and instantly killed 80,000 people. Others, in tens of thousands, died of radiation exposure years later.
