Dr Monica Musenero told journalists on Tuesday that Uganda is testing four vaccine candidates of which two have reached the fifth and seventh stage of the 10 stage criteria they set up initially to analyse the candidates before progressing into human trials.

In the report, Auditor General, John Muwanga noted that the office had spent Shillings 9.6 billion on the Patriotism program since 2014/2015 financial year but no assessment has been done to evaluate the impact of the program against the set objectives.
