The lawyers led by Macdusman Kabega on Tuesday told a panel of five Supreme Court Justices led by the Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo that one of the Judges who presided over Kashaka's appeal case should have recused himself from the matter since he was privy to the evidence that was adduced in the trial.
The duo said that since their lawyers were in court previously when the matter was being adjourned to today, they expected them to be present but efforts to talk with them on phone as to why they are not around remained futile.
Prof. Gilbert Bukenya, former vice president has lost his petition in the constitutional court challenging his trial by the Inspector General of Government for corruption. Bukenya was dragged to the anti corruption by the IGG in May for his involvement in the mismanagement of CHOGM funds.
