Police have increased deployment in the city following a terror alert sounded by the United Nations and the US embassy this morning. Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF), Counter terrorism police and regular officers together with plain clothed men have been deployed around the city and at the Entebbe airport where the terror threat is high.
The Uganda Police Force has issued yet another terror alert, warning institutions of learning to be vigilant. The alert comes just over a week after a university student duped the police into issuing a false terror alert warning shoppers against accessing Garden City and Nakumatt shopping malls in Kampala.
