Court was told that URA signed a memorandum of understanding with Mayanja such that he can pay the money within four months and that he will be required to deposit 20 million Shillings every month.
Mayanja faces two counts of being in possession of unaccustomed goods and failure to produce documents when required to in line with the East African Community Customs Management Act of 2004.
Court heard that on January 7th 2020 while in Kyabuyoro village in Kanungu District, Tumwijukye was found in possession of 185 cartons of assorted contraband cosmetics from the Democratic Republic of Congo-DRC worth Shillings 9 million.
