According to Kukudakwe, he was later told by security that Tukamushaba is wanted for aiding Rwandan national to acquire Ugandan national identity cards.
Kukundankwe says that after their arrest they were taken to Bungwe prison where they spent two days before they were transferred to another prison at Burera district headquarters. She says they appeared before court and were sentenced to two year’s imprisonment to suffer on grounds that Rwandans nationals are also suffering in Uganda.
Jack Tukesiga, a money changer at Katuna border, says they are happy that the two leaders had finally accepted to resolve their differences and signed an agreement. He says their prayer is to see the border open for business to resume.
