An official at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital told URN on condition of anonymity that there are often between 3 to 4 unclaimed bodies at the facility each month. Dr. David Tibwamanya, the Principal Administrator Gulu Regional Referral Hospital, says that always hand such bodies to Gulu City Council after waiting for their relatives to claim them in vain.
Francis Odongakara, the Along West Local Chairperson told URN on Saturday that more than 800 acres of crops belonging to about 150 households were razed to the ground during the heavy rains accompanied by hail storms.
He explains that Akera`s farm by 1959 produced and supplied over 30% of Tobacco to the regional markets which earned him above UGX 1000 East African Currency monthly.
His farms is estimated to have employed over 700 workers from East African Countries including Zaire now DR Congo and Sudan.
