Nganizi says that he contracted Kintu based on her professionalism, exposure and experience after she seemed to acknowledge and understand that Nganizi, the then Kampala Metropolitan North Regional Police Commander had invited high profile guests from near and abroad to be part of the celebration.
Namulindwa says that since police hasn’t opened a case of possessing drugs against the suspects, the marijuana should be burnt to prevent it from falling into wrong hands. She has since directed the Luweero District Police Commander, Ahmed Musakana and the Savannah Regional Police Commander, Caroline Akoth to publically destroy the marijuana.
In the petition, the association noted that there is an increasing number of Ugandans who have been trafficked to countries outside Uganda, where they are subjected to all forms of torture and turned into modern-day slaves. A number of Ugandans have lost their lives, allegedly as a result of inhumane and degrading treatment, especially in the middle east.
