Joe Oloya, the Aswa East Regional Public Relations Officer, explained that the deceased, identified as Alfred Nyeko, was accused of stealing two phones, from Pawena Trading Center in Palabek Abera Sub-county, Lamwo District.
According to Capt. Edrin Mawanda, the 5th Division Information Officer, the couple was traveling from Amuru District to Lamwo District on a Bajaj motorcycle, registration number UGG 453U, when they were stopped by security personnel.
The suspect, Alex Olweny, a resident of Kaugoli South Village, Potika Sub-county, allegedly stabbed his wife Jacklin Amony to death after a heated argument over money.
