Patrick Ngiragizi one of the fishermen at Nyakera Landing Site says that the fishermen could have taken an advantage of loopholes in the security around the lake to engage in the illegal activity.
According to Muhindo, about 10,000 tilapia fish perished in his two fish ponds in Kibenge village Nyakabingo III ward in Bulembia Division in Kasese Municipality resulting from the poisoning by unknown people.
