General David Muhoozi on Monday evening visited Lwengo district, the scene of the latest incident. He indicated that preliminary assessments are pointing to possibilities of terrorism, a line of investigations security has now taken.
Speaking to journalists after he was vetted, Gen. Muhoozi said that although a lot of things have been done in the Ministry, there is a lot more that can be done better especially in areas of effective policing and improving the general image of the police.
Maj. Gen. Sam Kavuma, the Deputy Commander of the Land Forces said that the violence and brutality which is currently being witnessed in the country during the campaign is an indication that the need for massive awareness against violence is paramount.
