On Tuesday, the Court presided over by the Acting Chief Magistrate Augustine Alule granted the accused persons one million shillings cash bail and asked each of their sureties who included relatives and politicians to execute a non-cash bond of 10 million shillings.
"The City Executive's position therefore is that the above council meeting be stayed until after the induction processes are exhausted…the Clerk to the Authority has been accordingly instructed to organize the next induction session scheduled for next week where all council members shall be inducted,” read Nyanjura’s letter.
In the review, the search committee has adopted three members of the public to help in selecting the next heads of units. This is according to Kiryowa Kiwanuka, the Search Committee chairperson, who doubles as a member of the University Council, a supreme governing body of the university.
