Agricultural Ministry officials led by the Minister, Vincent Ssempijja and his junior minister in charge of agriculture, Henry Aggrey Bagiire received the equipment at Soroti Flying School grounds on Friday afternoon.
The last invasion comes at a time when crops are still on farms raising fears of massive destruction by the locusts. Uganda Peoples Defence Forces -UPDF teams are already on the ground, using aerial spray to kill the insects.
Wasswa Swaliki Masokoyi, the Amudat Chief Administrative Officer, says they are struggling with inadequate resources to carry out surveillance work, which he says requires a special budget if the exercise is to run smoothly.
