Kidepo Sees Growth of Domestic Tourism after COVID-19 Lockdown 3 1

Reports obtained by Uganda Radio Network-URN obtained indicates that between July and August, a total of 301 tourists visited Kidepo National Park shortly after lockdown measures were lifted by government. In July in particular, there were 88 visitors while 213 tourists visited the National Park in August according to the reports.

Six Elephants Destroy One Thousand Hectares Of Crops In Agago stray elephants 1

Silvesto Asia Ali, one of the affected Farmers says he lost two hectares of Pumpkins to the stray elephants that invaded his farmland on Monday night. Some six elephants that reportedly strayed from Kidepo Valley National Park into community farmlands have been terrorizing farming communities in Luyita and Lujim parishes of Omiya Pachwa Sub county.

Nine Stray Elephants Invade Kitgum Namokora Subcounty 1

Mark Ocheng, the LCI Chairperson of Orabul village in Namokora sub-county told Uganda Radio Network in an interview on Tuesday that nine elephants were sighted in their area on Monday morning.
