The students who were protesting against the poor quality of meals and ill-treatment by teachers, boycotted classes, rejected school meals, destroyed school property and attempted to burn the office of the head teacher. Their plans were quelled by Police intervention.
On November 11, 2016, Beatrice Atingu Stella, the Assistant Registrar of the High Court Civil Division issued orders restraining Ndejje University, its servants or agents and any persons from preventing the students from accessing the University campus, and sitting examinations until their application is determined.
