Kwoyelo faces charges related to rape, Kidnap, murder, enslavement, torture, imprisonment, and other inhumane acts such as hostage-taking and waging attacks on internally displaced camps in Northern Uganda and burning them down around 1987, 1993, 1996, 2003, and 2004.
On November 10th, 2016, Kwoyelo`s sister, Margaret Auma bought a Bajaj Motorcycle registration number UEN 785F at Shillings 3.5 million to facilitate the family members to travel to Gulu High court to following his trial.
A team from the Police Fire and Rescue services from Gulu Central Police station rushed to the court room and tried to drain water from the tank in an attempt to stop the leakage in vain. A female inmate from the holding cells tried to mop the floor but this couldn’t help the situation either.
