Jenty Akedi, 75, a resident of Alebtong district has spent one week at the bank. She says the money her grandson gave her for upkeep is finished yet she has not been able to check her account. Akedi wondered why her colleagues with whom they registered together are receiving money.
Paul Kweheria, the Team leader NU- TEC Financial services, a project funded by the UK government to transform the economy through climate-smart agribusiness market development says they did an enterprise survey in Northern Uganda and found farmers to be badly affected by climate change-related events such as floods, increased temperature, delayed rains and excess rains.
