Unlike the ballot papers for candidates of LCIII Chairperson Seats, the ballot papers for candidates of Parish councillor seats have only symbols and names of candidates.
This election, which marks the final national electoral activity under the Roadmap for General Elections 2021, is expected to take place in 2,190 Sub Counties, Town Councils and Municipal Divisions, located in 135 districts. There will no elections in the 10 cities and Kampala Capital City.
Migadde who lost the race to Patrick Nkalubo of the National Resistance Movement-NRM, says that his name was wrongly spelt on the ballot papers, presenting him as Josephat instead of Joseph. He says that because of this error, many people that would have voted for him were confused.
Out of the 14 positions of councilors voted for on Wednesday, the NRM managed to retain only two positions of direct councilor for Lwabenge sub county and the female representative for Lukaya Town council which were won by John Kalema and Irene Mwebe Nanyanzi respectively.
