Kidandala had also alleged that Ssegirinya’s nomination was not accompanied by the names and signatures of a minimum of ten persons who are registered voters in the Kawempe North constituency, as required by the law.
She explained that by the time the party comes to court they must have evidence in support of their case but not to use court to gather evidence as it would not be impartial.
The former Kampala Deputy Lord Mayor ran to court seeking to overturn Ssegirinya’s victory in the January 2021 parliamentary elections on grounds that he lacks the minimum advanced level academic qualifications for election as members of Parliament.
Kidandala’s legal team comprising Caleb Alaka, Kenneth Paul Kakande and Fred Kato has been struggling to serve Ssegirinya who is on remand in Kitalya prisons where he was remanded for inciting violence.
