Byansi notes that the coffee sector in the country has many stakeholders including farmers, exporters, associations, and unions such as Bugisu Cooperative Union and Ankole Coffee Produce Cooperative Union among others who were never consulted on the agreement in question.
On Tuesday, while appearing before the Deputy head of Civil Division of High Court Justice Emmanuel Baguma, the University through its lawyers led by Esther Kabinga asked for more time arguing that they were busy handling the application that sought for an interim injunction and didn't get enough time to respond to the main case.
However, Justice Baguma has restrained Makerere University and Kabumbuli from cancelling the nomination certificate of Nalukwago that was already issued by the Guild Electoral Commission until the determination of the main case.
