In a letter signed and issued by the CID Officer Terego Mohammad Matatah and copied to the School Management Committee of Yole, Regional CIID West Nile among others, the police said the suspect could not be prosecuted for lack of sufficient evidence as advised by the Resident State Attorney Arua.
According to preliminary police findings, the suspect had reportedly committed the offence several times at his residence in the school staff quarters where has been living with the victim. Agnes Anyu, the Terego District Police Commander, says that they have charged the suspect rape, defilement and torture.
