After their loss to Ghana, the girls under the stewardship of their head coach Ayubu Khalifa Kiyingi embarked on intense training to overturn the results and eliminate Ghana and qualify for the final round.
Kiyingi's team will face South Africa in the third round of the qualifiers over two legs. The first leg will take place at the St. Marys Stadium, Kitende on December 3rd, before the return leg in South Africa.
Star striker Juliet Nalukenge, Hadijja Nandago and Margaret Kunihira were all on target as Uganda stopped Kenya from advancing to the next round at St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
