A week ago, reports emerged that a section of MPs was furious about the deductions. Initial reports quoted Bugabula South MP Maurice Kibalya and Nakawa East MP Ronald Balimwezo and Aruu saying that there should not be collective responsibility in contributing to the fund because a number of them did not consent to the resolution.
Dollo then said that the education of Oulanyah’s children would be possible, if the love shown by the grief of Ugandans is converted into financial contribution to the Education Trust Fund. He pledged to account for all the finances raised for the cause.
Before his demise, Oulanyah had through his effort secured bursaries for over 100 students at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono, while several other students including his own biological children are pursuing professional courses overseas.
