‘No Petroleum, No Revenues for Development’ Bateebe Tells Civil Society CNOOC LTD 2 4 Top story

The government estimates that the petroleum sector has capacity to generate between 2 to 2.5 billion dollars per year for the next twenty years. Bateebe said Uganda requires about $25 billion to finance renewable energy sources from hydropower, wind, , geothermal, solar and nuclear power plants.

The Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, said the bilateral meeting will aid intelligence information gathering and sharing to confront cross border insecurity such as terrorism, drug trafficking, cyber security, illegal migration, and sabotage of crude oil pipeline infrastructure among others.
