Imaryo was interdicted by Nabakooba to pave way for investigations into allegations of mismanagement of funds under the Land Fund following the directive of the Inspector General of Government Beti Kamya issued on 1st December, 2021.
Speaking to URN in an interview on Friday, Ssenyonyi disclosed that despite the arrest warrant they issued to the Parliament’s Police Commander to arrest Imaryo on site, the Police have since failed to effect the directive after reports emerged that the suspect is being protected by ‘powerful people’ in Government and may be helped flee the country.
Imaryo is specifically wanted to answer to irregularities relating to the payment of Shillings 10.6 billion compensation to six claimants without the authorization of the Commission.
