Ayer Seed Senior Secondary school in Kole district has been closed indefinitely over a violent students strike. Ahmed Musana, the Kole District Police Commander, says 12 students believed to be the masterminds of the strike are in custody at Kole Central Police Station.
Kampala University Vice Chancellor Prof Badru Kateregga says Busulwa is culpable of inciting violence at the institution. In the suspension letter authored by Kateregga, it is noted that the University Campus was peaceful until started influencing students into striking.
Four students of Janan Luwum Memorial School are remanded in Kitgum government prison over violent strike. Twenty eight others are serving an indefinite suspension after the school accused them of masterminding the violent strike two weeks ago.
