Govt, Oil Companies Finally Sign MOU tullow uganda

The Uganda Government and Oil Companies – Tullow, Total - have finally signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), URN can confirm. The MOU details plans for a refinery, an oil pipeline and power generation, which would move Uganda close to oil production. It also includes how much oil will be refined and exported among others.

Total Scholarships Excite Nwoya District Locals total e and p 2

When Ronald Opio sat for his Senior Four exams at Koch Goma secondary school, Nwoya district last year, his prayer was to pass well and join senior five in a better school. When the results emerged recently, Opio had scored 32 points and soon another prayer set in: school fees. But with a scholarship from Total Exploration and Production Company to pursue Uganda Advanced Certificate in Education, Opio is sighing with relief at a prayer answered. Opio is one of the 20 students in Uganda who have benefited from scholarships to enable them finish A Level.

Uganda Okays Drilling of Oil From Murchison Delta cnooc 1

The Uganda government has given petroleum companies a go-ahead to drill oil from the Murchison Falls–Albert Delta, an internationally recognized wetland protected site. The delta is also listed as a Ramsar site under the Ramsar Treaty and provides vital habitat for different bird species and other threatened plants and animals.
