Icelandic International Development Agency (ICEIDA) has given Kalangala district a grant of 1billion shillings to facilitate the redevelopment of several tourist attractions in the area. Kalangala district is made up of 84 islands each with unique tourist attractions.
Uganda Olympics Gold Medalist Stephen Kiprotich on Friday graced Jinja Town during the celebrations to mark the World Tourism Day for Jinja district. The colourful ceremony was held at the Jinja Crested Crane Hotel. Kiprotich, who presided over the ceremony as chief guest, described Jinja as his favourite Ugandan town.
