Lorry Plunges Into the Nile at Karuma karuma falls

A cargo lorry laden with cotton seeds from neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo on Thursday afternoon plunged into Karuma Falls in Kiryandongo district. Inspector Patrick Otika, the officer in charge of traffic at Kamdini out post in Oyam district, says the vehicle fell 7.5 metres into the deep of Karuma water falls. He told URN on phone that the driver of the vehicle, Nelson Eric Nsubuga, emerged from under the bridge few minutes later.
