The key suspect in the death of Butaleja Woman MP Cerinah Nebanda, Mr Adam Suleiman Kalungi, has this afternoon been denied bail. He was then returned to Luzira prison where he has been since early January.
Five of six suspects accused of causing the death of Butaleja Woman MP Cerinah Nebanda, have registered some victory after court struck out one of the charges preferred against them for being defective. Makindye Chief Magistrate Ester Nambayo, struck out the charge of supplying and dispensing restricted drugs from the charge sheet leaving manslaughter and two counts of unlawful possession of narcotic drugs.

Adam Suleiman Kalungi has said that the late Butaleja Woman Member of Parliament, Cerinah Nebanda, always sniffed cocaine to get courage to speak in parliament. Kalungi told journalists at the Special Investigations Unit â€“ SIU headquarters in Kireka on Saturday that Nebanda, who died suddenly on December 14, sniffed heroin instead of cocaine that day.
Police has finally arrested Adam Suleiman Kalungi, the man who was last seen with Butaleja Woman Member of Parliament Cerinah Nebanda moments before she died suddenly on December 14. According to police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba, Kalungi was arrested in the Kenyan port city of Mombasa and handed over to the Uganda Police last night.
