The Ministry of Health has distributed equipment worth 138 million Shillings to at least 40 health facilities and all regional referral hospitals countrywide to ease screening of non-communicable diseases.
Gulu Chief Administration officer, Julius Peter Odongkara has died today morning from Kampala International Hospital, the district chairperson Martin Ojara Mapenduzi has announced.
Government has started the process of establishing an autonomous modern heart institute facility in the country. The Institute will cost 64 million dollars to set up and is expected to treat 6000 heart patients per year.
