In 2016 former players who featured for Spanish top side Barcelona, Patrick Kluivert and Rayco Garcia on a working visit to Uganda on behalf of UNICEF also expressed willingness to start a football academy as a means of helping the young get acquitted to the beautiful game of football. But the project to build the said football Academy has not yet kicked off.
