Known to many as the home of onions, Rwahi is trading point for thousands of traders from Kampala, Tanzania, Rwanda and south Sudan. It is also a popular stop over for travelers plying the Mbarara- Kabale highway.
Local council officials in Mbale Municipality have taken over the management of garbage and cleaning of streets. The LC one chairmen are now in charge of supervising and paying people who collect garbage from their wards.
