In a 12th January letter to the university council, professor Ndiege said he was dissatisfied with the council decision to advertise the position of Vice Chancellor in the presence of an eligible candidate who has been occupying the office for the last 5 years.
Quoting fellow students, Lokinomoi says the problem in Kyambogo is not failure to pay but people who squander the students’ fees. He points out that last year close to 33 billion shillings was lost in a financial scam at the university adding that, to date the implicated officials have never been tasked to refund the money.
