Daudi Okeny, a resident of the neighbouring Paicho Sub-County, said that he sought treatment for his child at Cwero Health Centre III after Paicho Health Centre III reported a stockout of drugs but he was equally disappointed that there were no malaria drugs.

Twenty people have been arrested in Kalungu district for lack of proper sanitation facilities. The suspects including 15 men and five women were arrested in swoop on Monday during an operation against people without sanitation facilities. Records from Kalungu District Health department indicate that 40% of the people in the district have no latrines.
