Rose Birungi the Luwero Resident District Commissioner says that her office has stopped receiving and handing the land disputes to avoid the spread of COVID 19.
Speaking to journalists at Luwero Chief Magistrate Court, Buteera said magistrates must always endeavour to visit the disputed land before they resolve the row.
Munobe revealed that they plan to set aside resources from this quarter to facilitate the planned sessions and asked the Deputy Chief Justice Richard Buteera and Case Backlog Committee to grant them permission to implement the strategy.
According to the statement, six of the sessions will be held at the Land Division in Kampala targeting 120 cases. Five other sessions will be held at Mukono, Mbale, Masaka, Mpigi, Kabale and Jinja High Courts.
Samuel Munobe the Luweero Chief Magistrate explains that last year he managed to visit locus in only eight cases and failed to make it in other 30 cases over lack of transport.
