The resettled children who have been living on the streets of Kampala were rounded up by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and partners in collaboration with Napak District Local Government and enrolled in schools where they stay throughout, including holidays.
The club runs an emergency home for abandoned children. They receive shelter, clothing, medical care, food and support before they are facilitated to reunite with their families. Those whose biological families cannot be traced are helped to find foster families, Wambayo told Uganda Radio Network in an interview.
