The over 500 workers from various departments laid down their tools on Monday this week protesting among other things harsh working conditions, discrimination, Low pay, Illegal dismissal of their colleagues from work and the ongoing rumors that their wages would be reduced
One of the employees told URN on condition of anonymity that the strike started from the Agricultural workshop department last week before spreading to employees in other departments on Monday morning.
