Raymond Engena, the Director of Tourism at Uganda Wildlife Authority has taken over the leadership at Uganda Wildlife Authority as the acting Executive Director. This follows a directive by the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Dr. Maria Mutagamba asking the Uganda Wildlife Authority Executive Director, Dr. Andrew Ggunga Seguya, to take leave.

UWA ED: Oil Activities Not Interfering with Wildlife albertine region 2 Top story

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Executive Director Andrew Seguya has said that oil activities are not interfering with wildlife in the Albertine graben. This is contrary to the information from other UWA officials who say that the activities going on in the Albertine have greatly affected wildlife in the area.
