The increase comes as the phase enters its second year of implementation in Northern and North Eastern Uganda. The World Bank set out to invest USD 130 million over a period of five years through provision of income support to the poor and vulnerable households in Northern Uganda.
Paul Edobo, the district NUSAF Desk Officer, says finally all is in place to roll-out the programme. He says the NUSAF third phase should have started in August this year but didnt take off because of difficulties in accessing the funds.
