Pastor Kiwedde, real names William Muwanguzi, has appealed against his three year sentence after one year and two months in jail. Pastor Kiwedde started serving his sentence on January 9, 2014. Pastor Kiwedde was convicted of malicious damage to government property and sentenced to three years by Kalisizo Grade One Magistrate Susan Awidi.
Pastor William Muwanguzi will again appear in Kalisizo Grade One Magistrates court today for a final judgement of another case in which he attempted to escape from Kalisizo Government Prison and caused malicious damage to government property.
Kalisizo Grade One Magistrates Court will decide Pastor William Muwanguziâ€™s fate today. Court will rule whether Pastor Muwanguzi is guilty or not of impersonation and attempted escape from prison charges.
Court rejected his plea on grounds that Muwanguzi and his co-accused were not residents of the area where the accused committed the crime. It would therefore be hard to keep them in check once granted bail.

Pastor William Muwanguzi popularly known as â€œKiweddeâ€ has today appeared in court on charges of impersonation. Muwanguzi with his co-accused Julius Mukasa appeared before Bbosa Lutalo, the Kalisizo Grade II Magistrate.
