Former Executive Director (2002-2012) of the National Council for Higher Education, Professor A.B. Kasozi has asked government to abolish the current specialization of Arts and Sciences until students finish their first degree.
Uganda Radio Network has learnt that the 600 students were not cleared by their respective colleges for graduation, due to a number of factors; which include among others, accumulating retakes. As a result, these students bribed their way to the graduation list.
The campaign codenamed “mobilize for quality education†is to review the main problems affecting the education sector. Key among them is the high school dropout rate, child labor, failure of parents to provide scholastic materials for their children and feeding.
