A group of soldiers led by Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) land forces Chief of Staff Brigadier Leopold Kyanda are currently surrounding former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi's home in Kololo. The soldiers who are said to have arrived at the home at 4pm were sent to 'collect' soldiers that were formerly attached to the Prime Minister's house in Kololo.
Leaders of opposition parties have called for the immediate suspension of the Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura over the leaked tapes which revealed him to be investigating Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s alleged plan to run against President Yoweri Museveni in the 2016 elections.
