Two senior police officers who were side-stepped in the recent appointment of police spokesperson Emilian Kayima have finally handed over their offices as they await new deployment. The two officers include Commissioner of Police CP Fred Enanga who has been working as part of the administration team Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP Polly Namaye.
Sam Rwakoojo, the Electoral Commission Secretary, says the Commission hasnt be able to make special arrangements to allow the SPCs to cast their votes because their deployment requires that they remain at the polling station from the time it opens to closure.
Uganda Women Parliamentarians (UWOPA) has condemned the recall of four pregnant police officers from Parliament by police citing compromise of security.
The Women MPs are now demanding an investigation in to the decision taken by the Head of Parliament Police Directorate the Assistant General of Police Lemmy Twinomugisha recommending this recall.
