Delivering his verdict on Tuesday, Justice Musa Ssekaana noted that the petitioners failed to provide substantial evidence to prove the allegations against Akugizibwe. He explained that Akugizibwe resigned from public office as a teacher at King’s College Buddo and handed over office as required in preparations for his election as Buruli county member of parliament.
Mohammed Nserekoâ€™s sister, Zurufa Nsereko, confirmed her brother was at CPS but was not certain what he was there to do. She said Nsereko might be at CPS in connection with withdrawing money from Crane bank. She says Nsereko was arrested from Market Street in Kampala.
The woman who was accused of attempting to bribe Eastern Youth MP, Peter Ogwang has been released on Police bond. According to Paul Kato, the commissioner of police at Parliament, Agnes Maria Namatovu was released on Tuesday, August 28, on police bond. The police have however not pressed any charges against the woman.
