According to medics, when there are less than 50 copies of HIVs genetic material per millilitre of blood, a persons viral load is said to be undetectable. This means the virus has been suppressed to a level where a person can live a healthy life and is much less likely to transmit the virus.

CDC Donates UGX 1.2b to Health Facilities in Rwenzori dr. richard mugahi 1 2

The money from the Centre for Disease Control-CDC through Baylor Uganda will be given to 142 health facilities in the seven districts including Kabarole, Kasese, Ntoroko, Bundibugyo, Kamwenge, Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa. Twenty-two community based organisations CBOs in the region were also given 550 million Shillings for HIV/AIDS treatment and management.
